Madi: Class of 2015

Here's to sunrise sessions!   I've been waiting for that sun to come up without a layer of fog or overcast covering its bright and happy face, and I finally got it!  This was impeccable timing considering who I was photographing.  Miss Madi made for an incredible subject with her happy, smiling face!  I found myself getting giddy just looking at the images as soon as I shot them.  Once again, I have found myself struggling to choose which photos to showcase here. These few are only a small portion of the beautiful images I was able to get of Madi.  Madi was a student in my classroom last year.  She's a determined, intelligent young lady who supports her team - and others as you will see - with pride.  It's been a joy to know this happy girl!  I wish her the best this upcoming year!   Here's Madi…    This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDeri

Heaven: Class of 2015

Let me tell you, this young lady gets the award for the most facial expressions!  Miss Heaven, another former student of mine, showed many different sides of her personality during this session.  Better yet, I was able to see the foundation of her relationship with her best friend, Rebecca.  While Heaven did a great job throughout the session, I was able to capture the silly side of her personality when Rebecca was in front of the camera, too.  Both of these young ladies are pretty fun to be around.  I said before the session that I could tell they were friends because there were so many laughs between them that were obviously part of an inside joke.  Oh, to be a teenager again! Congrats to Heaven on her upcoming senior year! This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International License .

Emma: Class of 2015

Meeting for a senior session at 5:30am seems quite out of the norm, but boy, is it worth it!  Luckily, Emma was willing to give up a few hours of sleep this morning!  She has the posing down, and she is super cooperative.  Even though I asked her to sit in wet grass, climb on an unsteady stack of hay to get into a barn loft, and jump and twirl in some major heels, she did everything with a smile.  I've never had as many great images as I have had with this session.  Choosing just a few to showcase on this blog was super hard!  So, thank you Emma for trusting me and allowing me to follow my vision. I had the pleasure of having Emma in class this past semester.  She is a teacher's dream!  I know this young lady will have great opportunities come her way in her future.  Good luck to her during her senior year and beyond.  But first, enjoy the rest of summer!  Let's not wish it away!  ;) Enjoy!

Izzy Turns Three!

The Big Birthday Bird will visit our house tomorrow to shower Miss Izzy Bella with cake, ice cream, balloons, presents, and Peppa Pig!  We have counted down to this birthday all week, and hearing her repeat that she wants cake and ice cream is pretty darn cute.  I'm super proud of my baby.  Not only is she helpful around the house, but also she potty trained like a champ.  She is proving to me every day just how much of a big girl she really is.  I can't wait to see where this year will take us.  Here's to the terrific threes! Happy birthday, Miss Izzy!  Happy birthday to you!   It's her party and she can…well, you know.  :)

Rick & Vickie

This couple has achieved a milestone, folks.  Forty years of marriage.  That's right, I said forty!  To celebrate, Rick & Vickie's nieces, Chelsey and Whitney, decided to surprise their aunt and uncle with a photo shoot.  I was honored to be able to document the love this couple has for one another and for their family.  Congratulations to Rick & Vickie and here's to many more years of happiness!   This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International License .
