Who knew going to the Garden Center at our local box store could be a great place for some photos? Izzy wasn't happy about my snapping, but she obliged after a few minutes. Luckily, she had her new My Little Pony, Dreamy, to keep her busy. All of a sudden, she has a renewed love for the ponies. Pet Shops are still around, but the ponies are getting some quality play time recently. During our yard sale this weekend, Izzy decided she wanted to have a lemonade stand. She was successful, making enough money to buy some new toys. Ponies were on the list. Have I mentioned she takes her toys everywhere? Well, she does and she has fun wherever we are. Just yesterday we had a pool day after cleaning up the sale. Who made the trip, too? Ponies. She played for hours in the water with her ponies. I'm so glad she has such an imagination...and youtube videos to help provide additional inspiration. Thanks, Cookie Swirl.
I experimented with a different lens while we were at the pool, and I bravely got into the water -WITH- my camera to get some better shots. Also, I played around with some more free lensing. The idea is to detach the lens and hold it close to your subject to get the same effect as a macro lens or filter. Sometimes way too much light gets in, so the image is completely overblown, but sometimes, there is just enough light to give the image a dreamy, creamy look. The goal is to get the subject into focus manually, but out of focus subjects with the right light can look amazing. It's fun. At least I think so.
Anyway, here are my newest additions. I hope you enjoy.
My pretty momma.
Ah, the life of a teenager.
We -ALWAYS- have to go by the water fountains so her ponies or Pet Shops can have a pool party. Always.
