A little rain wasn't going to stop Jase and his family from getting these photos done.  Luckily, the rain slacked off not long after we got started.  Jase isn't a huge fan of too much attention, but he managed to have some fun running around Roan Valley Tree Farm and exploring the blue truck.  Also, he gave me love and said my name!  I'll take that as a win! I'm excited to watch Jase grow up, yet his little face looks exactly the same as it did during his 1st birthday session.  What a cutie pie! Thanks to Jason and Christina for letting me work with them again.  I'm sure Santa will be extra good to this little guy this year!  Merry Christmas, Jase! This group of mini sessions was my first really successful run. I had lots of new clients and a few familiar faces. I'm so grateful that these families allowed me to capture some sweet moments for them for this Christmas season. I hope they all enjoy their images!   Merry Christmas to all! Here's to a great start to the new school year!  Congratulations to Talon on his first day of Kindergarten!  I hope he learns plenty, has fun, and makes new friends.  Welcome back, kiddos!  :)  

Finally!  I can post these!  This session was a gift from my sister to her sister-in-law for Jase's first birthday.  Since it was a surprise, I've had to keep these images from the public's eye for what seems like forever!  This little guy loves his blankie, his Mammaw and Pappaw's swing, and his Pappaw's lap.  During the session, Jase wasn't truly content unless he was sitting with his Pappaw.  With Pappaw's singing, I was able to get some super cute images of this sweetie pie.  My Izzy even got in some playtime with him, as well as her own balloon and cupcake.  What a fun time!  Happy first birthday, little Jaserbug! I know I have something good when the first uploaded image I look at makes me say, "Oh, my!" out loud.  Well, I kept saying that as I sorted through Brody's files from this morning.  Talk about a special little guy!  Those rolls!  Those eyes!  He can make just about anyone melt.  Then, there is his story.  Momma Lauren mentioned that she and her husband Daniel had thought about skipping pictures for this six month milestone since Brody had just had his surgery not too long ago.  However, she realized that his scar was a big part of who he is, and that scar helps to explain the incredible journey he and the rest of his family have been on since before his birth.  Many years down the road, I hope Lauren, Daniel, and Brody can look back at these photos with a smile knowing how far they've traveled.  And for Lauren and Daniel, I'm sure they won't even see the scar.  They'll see that sweet six month old boy and wonder how he was ever tha...

I just can't wait to share these any longer!  I'm still working on the images from Haleigh's session, but I had to make a post.  This little girl is absolutely adorable!  Thankfully, I got some balloons for Miss Haleigh, and boy, did she like them!  I lost count of hearing her precious version of "balloon!"  They kept her entertained long enough to get plenty of great shots.   I hope birthday number two will bring her many surprises!  Enjoy Miss Haleigh!   This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License .
