Britni + Justin

I've known Britni since 2007 when I got my first teaching job.  I had to invade her space during one class period since I didn't have my own classroom.  Throughout that year and since, I have learned that Britni is a passionate and most excellent teacher with the perfect English teacher sense of humor. I have so much respect for this lady for her dedication to her students and her profession.  And I'm jealous of the decor in her house. Then one day, I noticed she started posting pictures on social media of this Justin guy.  I knew right away that Britni had found someone special.  You see, Britni, as she says herself, already had a pretty good life - a great job that she loves, a new house full of custom made furniture, plenty of friends, and even a joy for running (I'm no runner, so I have even more respect for her!).  According to Britni, though, Justin made her life better.  What more could anyone want in a lifetime partner? Justin remembers the...

Emily + Adam

Emily said that a couple didn't have to be engaged to have a photo session, and she is absolutely correct!  This session is to celebrate her birthday, and I'm so glad I was able to capture these moments to show exactly where they are at this point in their lives and in their relationship. We had a great evening for this session at Milligan College.  I have never shot here before, and even though I've been on campus plenty of times, I really got to enjoy the beautiful scenery.  As an alumni, Emily was able to show me the typical spots for photos at MC, but I also added a few ideas of my own.  I certainly hope these images represent this awesome couple at their best. Perhaps soon an engagement session will follow.  ;)  Nevertheless, I wish nothing but the best life has to offer to this young couple. Here's Emily and Adam... Emma & Randall

I've taken photos of sweet Emma and Randall before, but this time is different.  She's wearing an extra accessory!  A shiny one, too.  A diamond just as unique, classic, and beautiful as Emma. Ok, so I'm over here, like, OMG, I'm really getting old.  My students are getting married.  When will I be taking their babies' photos?  BUT...catching up with my former students shows me just how wonderful they are, how happy they are, and how successful they are becoming.  Meeting with Emma and Randall today was not only fun for me, but also this meeting was a chance for me to once again reflect on the young lives with which I've come in contact.  I needed this. Emma and Randall are planning a fall wedding for next year.  While these photos are not their engagement photos, they are a celebration of this young couple and the next step in their lives together.  What I learned about these two, though, is that they complement each other very well...

Rick & Vickie

This couple has achieved a milestone, folks.  Forty years of marriage.  That's right, I said forty!  To celebrate, Rick & Vickie's nieces, Chelsey and Whitney, decided to surprise their aunt and uncle with a photo shoot.  I was honored to be able to document the love this couple has for one another and for their family.  Congratulations to Rick & Vickie and here's to many more years of happiness!   This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International License .

Paige & Cheyenne

This photo session was fun!  I laughed more at/with these two than I've laughed in a while!  I hope they had as much fun as I did.  I've known Paige since she was just a little girl, so knowing that her high school graduation is coming up in just a matter of days doesn't make me feel any younger!  Paige has turned into a beautiful, smart young lady.  Luckily, Cheyenne noticed just how beautiful and smart she is!  Both of these kiddos are talented and a joy to have in the classroom. I'm excited to take some photos of this cute couple at prom too, so more to come from Paige and Cheyenne.  Enjoy!
