Isn't it hard to believe that the next school year is just a few weeks away? As a kid, I remember the summer lasting seemingly forever. Perhaps it was where I lived, in one of those tired old towns where nothing much ever happened, but summer was always hot, lazy, and long. Those were the days! Now, summer is a small pause from routine, from the hustle and bustle of the daily grind. For this first young lady, the new school year is the beginning to an end. Miss Katelyn will embark upon her last year in high school at a new school. Although I didn't have Katelyn in class, I did see her frequently in the halls.
