One thing I love about this hobby of mine is that I am starting to meet new people.  Coming into a stranger's house, asking to rearrange furniture, and taking over control of their brand-spanking new baby just doesn't seem to be polite at all, but for some reason, it works!  I really appreciate the trust that Amy and Derek gave to me while I was able to capture some super cute shots of their sweet Lincoln.  Even though Lincoln is only two weeks new, Momma and Daddy were already perfectly comfortable with their new addition.  They are pros already, which is much more than I can say for myself and my husband when our Izzy was only two weeks old. Lincoln was so sweet, and he was prepared for his session.  I left saying that this was probably the easiest newborn session I've ever had; I even got it done in record time!  I might be going out on a limb here, but I think that has to be a good sign for the parents.  It was truly my privilege to get to capt...

Wow.  One year has passed so quickly!  I have had the honor of getting to watch Brody grow into this complete ham of a toddler.  During his first session, which coincidentally was my first newborn session, I knew by looking in his eyes that he would be a happy boy.  Over the next couple of sessions, getting a smile took some work, but he always came through.  Now, at one year old, this little guy still has shown me how much he has accomplished in such a short amount of time, and his smile and giggle are completely infectious! I want to give a big thanks to Lauren and Daniel for allowing me to capture Brody's first year.  It has truly been my pleasure! They are such great parents, and I know with their faith and determination, Brody will continue to make remarkable progress.  I look forward to photographing that sweet smile again!  I wanted to save this sneak peak until closer to his big day, so please join me in wishing this amazing littl...

What a beautiful bundle!  This little guy is so super cute and sweet.  He loves to be held and comforted, especially by momma Katie, but grandma Deana is more than happy to take Mr. Chamis off of Katie's hands! I know Katie will be a most excellent mother.  In just the few hours I spent with her, she showed an incredible calm complete with plenty of patience.  Congratulations to Katie and her husband John on their precious son.  I have a feeling Chamis will be one spoiled little boy, and rightfully so.  :) Here's Chamis Ryder... This group of mini sessions was my first really successful run. I had lots of new clients and a few familiar faces. I'm so grateful that these families allowed me to capture some sweet moments for them for this Christmas season. I hope they all enjoy their images!   Merry Christmas to all! Here's to five years!   When Ashley asked me to do this session, I accepted immediately, of course; however, I soon started having a small panic attack.  Her idea was to do the exact same poses that were captured at their wedding five years ago, wedding dress and all, with their little girl Lexie.  The problem was that Anglen Photography took those original wedding photos.  They aren't local anymore, but I used their services for my wedding as well, so I know just how amazing AP's work is and I would never consider myself anywhere near their talent or expertise.  Thus, the small panic attack.  I knew I couldn't replicate the exact images that Ashley loves so much, but once all the images were uploaded, I embraced this challenge as a way of finding my own style.  So, instead of having the exact same images, I hope that Ashley and Jessie see this collection as a sort of updated representation inspired by the originals.  I'm honored that Ash...
